KILLARNEY LAKE
Killarney Lake is one of Fredericton’s most popular outdoor spots, located about 10–15 minutes from the motel. It’s part of a large park with a well-used trail system that loops around the lake and connects to forested hiking trails.
In the summer, it offers a sandy swimming beach, picnic areas, and calm water for kayaking or paddling. The main loop trail is a popular choice for walking, jogging, and hiking, with easy terrain and forest views.
In the winter, the trails are groomed for cross-country skiing and are also used for snowshoeing, making it a true year-round outdoor destination.
It’s a great place for a short walk, a swim, or getting outside in any season without going far.
CARLETON PARK
Carleton Park is a scenic riverside park located about 10 minutes from the motel. It sits along the Saint John River and offers open green space, walking paths, and water views. The park is a popular spot for walking, picnics, and relaxing outdoors, especially in the warmer months. It is also connected to Fredericton’s trail system, making it easy to enjoy a longer walk along the river. It’s a simple, peaceful place to enjoy the outdoors in any season.
The park is located right beside Picaroons Brewing Company, a local brewery with a patio overlooking the river—an easy stop after a walk.
